About CCW-Training Academy
CCW Training Academy (CCW), located in Cardiff, South Wales, is an innovative training provider specialising in leadership, management, ICT, and Health & Safety training, including the design and delivery of bespoke training programmes. We specialise in designing bespoke training and accredited programmes via the Institute of Leadership and Management (i-l-m). These include personal development training courses tailored to individual needs with a focus on delivering results. We are focused on our clients’ needs and we only deliver training in small groups up to a maximum of 10 candidates per cohort guaranteeing that we offer quality training. Candidates enrolled on our management courses will receive a free 1-day mentoring and coaching support from our professional team (if required).

What can we offer?
Our Institute of Leadership and Management training modules are new and innovative programmes. These management programmes have been designed to reflect the present economic climate and enable candidates to complete our ‘fast-track’ programme. Our training modules consist of blended learning (face to face, online, Zoom and 1-2-1 support for completion of assignments). All training materials will be provided, including the use of our training platform. Assignment support is provided through a 1-2-1 basis via Zoom/face to face, as well as through emails and phone calls if required.
Our Capabilities
The Level 3 Award in Leadership and Management in Wales is ideal for individuals who have management responsibilities but no formal training and are serious about developing their abilities. This program particularly supports practising team leader/s seeking to move to the next level of management and managers who need to lead people though; organisational change, budget cuts or for personal development.

To complete and achieve a Level 3 Award in Leadership and Management, you will need to complete the training programme and submit assignments for a minimum of 2 modules chosen from below from our most popular topics:

Assignments
You should plan to spend approximately 7 hours researching your workplace context, preparing for and writing or presenting the outcomes of each assignment for assessment for the ILM Level 3. The ‘nominal’ word count for each assignment is 1000 words: the suggested range is between 800 and 1200 words per assignment.
ILM Level 3 Leadership and Management General Information
The training/workshop for the ILM Level 3 Leadership and Management in Wales takes place at 5-7 Museum Place, Cardiff, CF10 3BD. We can offer training Face2Face or on-line using MS Teams or Zoom. If you need training at your location and have at least 6 people for the class, we can arrange it.

Module 1: Understanding Leadership
The purpose of this unit is to develop the knowledge and understanding of different leadership styles or behaviours to be found in the workplace, including an understanding of your own preferred leadership behaviours, and the impact that these different styles are likely to have on behaviour of team members.

Module 2: Solving Problems and Making Decisions
The purpose of this unit is to develop skills in solving problems and making decisions within an organisation or in a workplace. The modules required you to show your abilities at making decisions regarding a certain problem. This problem can be anything you want it to be. You will learn and understanding of how to solve problems and worked out the solution to the problem.

Module 3: Understanding Recruitment and Selection of New Staff
This module is all about recruiting and selecting new staff in the workplace. In terms of recruiting, you should consider: the relevant organisational policies; understand how you would conduct a job analysis and prepare a job description and person specification for a post; and understand how you would prepare for selection interviews and a recognised selection technique that you could use.

The purpose of this module is to develop knowledge and understanding of coaching and training in the workplace.
You will understand the need to be clear about the differences between training and coaching and when it is appropriate to use them. You will understand how to demonstrate the basic principles and how they can be applied in the workplace.

Module 5: Managing Workplace Projects
The purpose of this module is to develop knowledge and understanding of managing workplace projects. Understanding the requires to manage a simple workplace project and to understand the costs and benefits resulting from the project.

Module 6: Understanding Health and Safety in the Workplace
The purpose of this module is to develop knowledge and understanding of managing workplace projects. The module requires you to understand how to manage a simple workplace project and the associated costs and benefits resulting from the project.

Module 7: Understanding Marketing for Managers
The purpose of this module is to give a basic understanding of the marketing context for the manager who needs awareness. These will include knowledge of the principles and techniques used.
This module is about understanding why the marketing concept is relevant for managers. It is also about reflecting on your organisation’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats in the marketing context and about how each of the elements in the marketing mix is used within the context of your organisation.

The module will cover the main concepts, environmental standards and legislation that apply in a specific workplace. You will also learn how to demonstrate understanding of these issues, and how to manage environmentally friendly practices or could be initiated. This module will equip managers with the knowledge to oversee sustainable practices within their organisations.

This module requires you to demonstrate your knowledge of managing conflict, how to minimise and resolve conflict and to identify what some of the causes and effects of conflict might be.

Module 10: Understand How to Lead Effective Meetings
The purpose of this module is to develop knowledge and understanding of how effectiveness on leading meetings can be increased by good planning, preparation, and the use of meeting management techniques.
You will learn about brief explanations to cover context, background, and your reasons for taking the approach shown.
