An understanding of the CDM 2015 Regulation

This is our new CDM 2015 training course. The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 came into force on 6th April 2015. These changes represent a significant change in the way that health and safety is managed in the construction industry. The key changes that will be covered in our training are:

• CDM Coordinator role replaced by a ‘Principal Designer’.
• Client duties strengthened.
• Client’s “key project advisor” role removed.
• Principal Designer and Principal Contractor required for all projects with more than one “trade” Contractor on site.
• Construction Phase Plan is required for all projects.
• Notification (Threshold).
• ‘Explicit competence’ requirements removed.
• Duties to be applicable to domestic projects.

The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 places legal duties for those involved in construction projects. These duties will be explained in our training in 6 modules as shown below:

  Which responsibilities the principle designers have under the CDM regulations
• Role of the Designer:
  The roles and responsibilities of designers under CDM regulations
• Role of the Principal Contractor:
  What responsibilities belong to the principal contractor under CDM regulations
• Role of the Contractors:
  What roles and responsibilities belong to the contractors under CDM regulations
• Role of the Workers:
  The roles and responsibilities of workers under the CDM regulations

We run our CDM 2015 training in small classes to ensure the highest quality of training possible. We ensure quality by providing the training through a chartered engineer as our tutor.
