Introduction to Bid Writing Overview:
This is our Introduction to Bid Writing training course. Bid Writing requires skills and knowledge specific to this subject. Our beginner course will give you the fundamentals to Bid Writing. This introductory course will allow you an understanding to PQQ, ITT and Open Tendering stages. We also have an Intermediate and Advanced course if you feel that what this course covers it too basic for you.
This course will be covering the basics of bid writing, including how to carry out a well structured and robust bid for a tender within any sector. This course is tutor-lead in the Cardiff city centre by an individual with years of experienced bidding within various sectors and at various levels of funding.
Aims and Objectives:
The aim of this course is to provide learners with an introduction to Bid Writing. It will also allow you to understand how to research, prepare, and submit a successful bid document/s.
Bid Writing Course Delivery:
Learners will be introduced to learning experience by working through a generic Bid Writing document covering all the fundamental aspects within a workshop environment.
Duration of Course:
The duration of this course is one-day workshop for beginner’s level.
Learning Outcomes:
Upon completion of the course, individuals will understand the Bid Writing processes and can carry out a well-planned structured approach to submitting a bid document, including providing financial aspects (i.e. providing mini-quotation, pricing, and related matters).

The course is intended to benefit those individuals seeking to understand the working practices of Bid Writing with or without any prior knowledge of the subject matter.

Tutor delivering this training course (Mike Tan BSc MSc CEng FInstLM FCIHT)
The tutor delivering this training course has over 40 years of practical experience working for local government, international consultant and the 3rd sectors in researching, preparing, evaluating, writing and winning bids. He was involved in winning numerous high-profile Erasmus+ (KA2) projects, and the 3rd sector funding organisation for CCW-Training Academy. In his previous experience, he was project bid manager and director for the two largest consultancy companies in the world. He will has won, led, and delivered frameworks project in Wales, UK and other parts of the world. He can share good practices, dos and don’ts from the prospective of a client, consultant, 3rd sector and as an academia.

Online and Zoom-pro based training
We are offering online and Zoom based training as well as our usual classroom courses. Should there be further lockdown restrictions more courses are likely to be done either through Zoom or via online. However as of this moment, we are providing all of our training as normal in classrooms. We are also ensuring that classroom training courses are done in very small numbers of no more than 4. This is so we can not only provide the highest quality of training, but also we ensure everyone’s safety during these times.
